Self-Realization Fellowship’s Lake Shrine Temple rests on a scenic hilltop, with views of the Lake, and the hills of Pacific Palisades. Surrounding a courtyard with a fountain, the Temple has a large Sanctuary, a Bookroom, a hall for special events, Sunday School rooms, and offices. Weekly lecture services and devotional events are open to the public and led by monastic and lay-member disciples of Paramahansa Yogananda. Sunday visitors will have the opportunity to attend a morning lecture service, meditate in the Sanctuary in the afternoon, and browse the Bookroom for take-home inspiration. Hosts are present to talk with guests and answer questions. There is a guided docent tour of the Temple each Friday at 2:00 pm, beginning at the lake level by the stairway gate near the Gift Shop. On Sundays, we offer a 3:00 pm tour, which meets at the fountain in the Temple Courtyard.
